Big Brothers Big Sisters and CARE Ambulance to host CPR/First-Aid Workshop

Orange, CALIF., March 21, 2007 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County will host a First Aid/CPR training class for participants in its Bright Futures program at the C.A.R.E. Ambulance Service facility, 1517 W. Braden Court, Orange on Saturday, April 21, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Certified personnel from C.A.R.E. will teach the class, lead a tour of their facility and introduce participants to careers as Emergency Medical Technicians.

The Bright Futures program matches girls ages 10-16 with Big Sisters and offers female empowerment activities, including career days and self-defense classes.  Participation in the First Aid/CPR class is limited to women and girls currently enrolled in the Bright Futures program.  Women interested in becoming Big Sisters in the program or parents wishing to enroll their daughters are encouraged to call (714) 544-7773.
