BBBSOC SEEKS COSTA MESA-AREA FEMALE VOLUNTEERS

COSTA MESA, CALIF., November 8, 2007 – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County is seeking adult female volunteers for a new mentoring program it is planning to launch in conjunction with Girls, Inc.  The program will meet one evening per week from 5–6 p.m. at the Girls, Inc. office in Costa Mesa and will match adult female mentors with girls in need for arts & crafts, socializing and other relationship-building activities.  The program will meet through the end of the 2007-08 school year.  Interested women who live or work in Costa Mesa or the surrounding areas are encouraged to contact Melissa Garcia at mgarcia@bigbrooc.org or (714) 544-7773.

Former “Bigs,” “Littles,” Sought – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County (BBBSOC) is preparing for its 50th anniversary celebration by seeking out former participants in BBBSOC.  The organization plans to highlight former matches at a special anniversary celebration in 2008.  If you are a former Big Brother/Big Sister or Little Brother/Little Sister and wish to share the impact the program made on your life, please contact Noly Guardamondo at nguardamondo@bigbrooc.org or (714) 544-7773.
