BBBSOC WELCOMES NEW SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAM STAFF MEMBERS

TUSTIN, CALIF., November 13, 2007 – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County (BBBSOC) is pleased to welcome three new staff members assigned to BBBSOC’s school-based programs: Fredrika Pantouw, Yesenia Rivera and Viviana Santa.

Fredrika Pantouw is a resident of Anaheim who is pursuing a sociology degree at California State University in Long Beach.  Her career goal is to be a counselor, hence she was pleased to join the BBBSOC staff: “It’s great to be able to work in my field.  I’ve long been familiar with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and wanted to be a part of the organization.”

Pantouw is assigned to Harvey Elementary School in Santa Ana and Orangethorpe Elementary School in Fullerton.

Yesenia Rivera is a Newport Beach resident who is studying sociology and political science at the University of California, Irvine.  She commented, “I was grateful for the opportunity to work with children.”

Rivera has begun working at Las Palmas Elementary School in San Clemente and San Juan Elementary School in San Juan Capistrano.

Viviana Santa is an Anaheim resident who is studying psychology and social behavior and biology at UCI.  She commented, “I love working with children, and in the Latino community.”

She is also a volunteer at Latino Health Access.  She is working at Diamond and Kennedy Elementary Schools in Santa Ana.
