"Join us in Cabo for next year's 'Feel Good Tournament'"

The crew of the Stars & Stripes Fishing and Golf Tournament is already making plans and taking reservations for 2007 (June 21-24).

Hosted at the beautiful Hilton Los Cabos Beach and Golf Resort along the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, Stars & Stripes combines all the amenities of a five-star luxury resort with some of the best fishing and golf the world has to offer.

Established in 1997 as an annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, Stars & Stripes has become one of the most significant events of the year for this premiere mentoring organization, raising approximately $5 million over the course of the last decade.

In addition to supporting the various BBBS youth-service programs, the tournament also gives back to the surrounding communities of Cabo San Lucas. Over the course of the past decade, Stars & Stripes has helped to provide desperately-needed medical care to countless children; has purchased a fleet of new ambulances for the local Red Cross; and has aided in the construction of a new hospital in San Ignacio.

With this great tradition of helping those in need, it’s no wonder that Stars & Stripes has often been referred to as “The Feel-Good Tournament.”

Stars & Stripes is proud to, once again, partner with Alaska Airlines – the official airline of the charity tournament, ten years running.  Alaska has provided air travel for the staff and participants, and regularly offers complimentary air travel for a number of the event’s primary beneficiaries – the kids.  Going one step further to support the cause, Alaska also contributes air packages to the tournament’s live auction.
