Keith Rhodes, MS
Chief Executive Officer
Keith Rhodes joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County as Chief Executive Officer in January of 2010. Prior to joining the organization, Rhodes served as Executive Director of Boys Town California. He comes to the organization with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.
Prior to working at Boys Town, Rhodes was the CEO of the Methodist Children’s Home in New Orleans. He has worked with abused and neglected children in various levels of residential care for 20 years.
Rhodes holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters of Science in Criminology, with an emphasis in Juvenile Delinquency and Domestic Terrorism, from Grambling University. Rhodes is a gang specialist, certified through the Federal Bureau of Prisons and National Institute of Corrections. He has worked with counter-drug task force and gang suppression teams in 87 cities over the past 20 years, and also trains federal, state and local law enforcement worldwide.

Laurie Peterson
Controller
Laurie Peterson joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County as Controller in March 2011. Laurie comes to the organization with a strong Accounting and Systems background. After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in Business Economics, she attained her CPA certification. Prior to joining the organization, Peterson was a JD Edwards Software Specialist and Special Projects Accountant at Shea Homes, as well as the Regional Controller and Job Cost Manager at Fieldstone Communities. Laurie was also a Systems Consultant for Profit Concepts, where she assisted various companies with their data upgrades and improved internal processes. Peterson is very active volunteering in the community.
