Child Abuse Trauma The purpose of this training is to teach the basics of child abuse, identify warning signs, learn reporting procedures and understand the long-term consequences related to child abuse. We also hope you will learn skills and gain the knowledge necessary to understand your Little and what to do should they be a victim of child abuse. The duration of this training is approximately 30 minutes. This training offers a brief look into the life’s and values held by Latino families living in Orange County. We hope that the information provided will give you a greater understanding of your Little's culture and community; learn about the values and beliefs that play a role in their life; and see how external factors shape the way Latino families live in America. Substance Abuse Homeless Children in the Education System Children in Foster Care Big and Little Trainings Bullying - This training is great for both Big and Little to watch together and learn about the types of bullying, why people bully, and ways to stop bullying from happening. It is also interactive and gives you an opportunity to discuss your thoughts on the topic. High School Bigs - Relationship Building - The purpose of this training is to help guide you in building a healthy long-lasting relationship by understanding your role as a Big, the ages and stages of development among children to help you understand and properly engage with them better, and learning the basic ways to communicate with children while you are at site.
